Nigerians are reacting to the anniversary message sent by May Edochie, the first wife wife of Nollywood actor and polygamist Yul Edochie to her Parents-in-law.
The elderly couple, veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie and his wife, Josephine celebrated their 53rd anniversary on the 1st of October.
Pete announced in a post that his children organized and funded the event and thanked them for it.
On her part, May, in her goodwill message said:
“Pls join me to celebrate the great @peteedochie and his adorable wife. We are grateful to the Almighty for the gift of life. 53 years and counting! May God continue to strengthen you both and give you peace.“
Nigerians did not seem pleased with May’s message as some people questioned the reason she did not call Pete Edochie her father-in-law or something more cordial like mummy and daddy while others praised her for celebrating the couple despite the rift between her and her husband.
