Nigerians are embarrassed that a federal government official has to beg Tesla, a foreign technology giant for ventilators.

The official of the Ministry of Finance and Budget took to the official handle of the ministry to plead with industrial engineer, Elon Musk to send the equipments to our treatment centres.

Musk had tweeted on his verified handle that:

“We have extra FDA-approved ventilators. Will ship to hospitals worldwide within Tesla delivery regions. Device & shipping cost are free. Only requirement is that the vents are needed immediately for patients, not stored in a warehouse. Please me or @Tesla know.”
The official of the Finance Ministry then went to ask on behalf of Nigerians that “Nigeria needs support with 100-150 ventilators…”
