The vice presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima, recently shared photos of himself in Igbo outfit.
In the photos that surfaced social media, Shettima donned the signature ‘Red Cap’ and the White ‘Npor’ which are traditionally worn by the Igbo men to important events.
The development only earned him knocks from Nigerians as many berated him for wearing an outfit fit only for Igbo nobles.
Seeing him in it, ws viewed as outright disrespect towards the Igbos.
According to the displeased Nigerians, only persons with chieftancy title are allowed to don such attire in Igbo land.
