Nigeria’s First Ladies, Aisha Buhari and Patience Jonathan have continued to lead the way on how women should collaborate.
Not only have they rekindled an amicable bond, but they have both teamed up to bring succour to people suffering from COVID19 and as a result of the lockdown order instituted by state and federal governments.
Dame Patience Jonathan had in February, paid a courtesy visit to Mrs Aisha Buhari. During the visit, both Nigeria’s First Ladies shared experiences about their different tenures.

Yesterday however, the former First Lady gave up her hospital in Abuja as an Isolation centre for people suffering covid-19. She also sent relief materials to Mrs Buhari to augment her stock for distribution to the less privileged.
While thanking Mrs Jonathan and other donors, First Lady Muhammadu Buhari said:
“I would like to express my appreciation to all those who responded to our call through the GET INVOLVED INITIATIVE to contribute towards the fight against COVID19 .
“I thank Nigerians particularly Former First Ladies for their goodwill and some contributions in kind especially Dame Patience Jonathan for willingly releasing her hospital that’s in court but still under her possession to be used as a covid-19 isolation centre TEMPORARILY.
“All the donated items including hospital beds, bedsheets, Personal Protective Equipment -PPE and medications will be distributed immediately to centres where they will be utilised appropriately.
“It is my Ernest prayer for the end of this global pandemic.”
