Nigeria’s lawmakers took a compulsory leave when the coronavirus disease was contracted by only 44 people. However, the speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila  has been busy ever since.

Gbajabiamila has been involved in discussions about human rights abuses on Nigerian’s in China. On a number of occasions also, he has engaged stakeholders in negotiating improved power supply during the government lockdown period.

It is still uncertain if the Senate will resume anytime soon as no notice has been made public to that effect.
