No 2023 Election in Yoruba Land – Sunday Igboho

No 2023 Election in Yoruba Land - Sunday Igboho

Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Igboho has declared that the Yoruba or Oduduwa children are no longer under Fulani rule neither will any election hold in 2023.

Igboho said this when he stormed Akure, the Ondo State capital with hundreds of his supporters on Saturday.

Among the supporters were youths, women, okada riders, traders, artisans and many others. All attendees wore uniforms (asoebi) with the inscription ‘Omo Oduduwa ni mi (I’m Oduduwa’s child).

They all chanted solidarity songs in the peaceful rally which took them round Akure city starting from Isikan Roundabout. The match took place under the watchful eyes of the personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Police, soldiers, Amotekun who ensured orderliness.

In his address to the attendees, during their stopover at the palace of the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, Sunday Igboho stressed that there would be no 2023 election in Yoruba land.

He regretted that the South West politicians have sold the land to the Fulani insisting that the campaign for Oduduwa Republic will not end until the Yoruba Nation is realised.

According to him, “Traditional rulers are supposed to be the father of all but they have been relegated and I believe all these anomalies would end when Yoruba Nation comes to being.

“Politicians have sold us to Fulani and now these Fulani are beyond their control. It is time we free ourselves. No going back on the agitation, no election in 2023 and I have a strong belief that we are going to succeed.”

Igboho added that the Yoruba Nation has the backing of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State. “The Governor is aware of these things we are doing, we have his support. We are no more under Fulani. All we want is Yoruba Nation.”

One of Igboho’s admirers, who is also a Yoruba man, Femi Fani-Kayode posted his admiration for the activist saying he admires his courage and determination.
