The leadership of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has announced that no successor to Prophet TB Joshua has been appointed yet.
It also debunked news that Prophet Joshua’s wife, Evelyn has been nominated to succeed him.
The leaders made the announcement at a press conference held at the church’s headquarters on Tuesday, the 29th of June.
They urged members of the public to disregard the rumours as the leadership is currently focussed on giving the late Founder a befitting burial.
Speaking on behalf of the church at the press conference captioned “Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Prophet TB Joshua, Not Mine but God’s Own,” spokesperson, Dr Gary Tonge added
“Questions concerning succession, if there is anything to say on the subject, it will be clearly, plainly and directly announced. Generally, on this and other issues, there are many different stories which are going around in the media about succession. Until you hear an official announcement then it is best to disregard those things.”
Punchng.com had, on the 27th of June, reported that, “France-based AfricaNews reports that elders of the church me and declared Evelyn the successor to the late televangelist.”
Punchng.comon its part quoted “a top aide of the late cleric as saying, ‘Someone must take charge immediately and give spiritual direction on the moe of service continuity. So much spiritual and financial effort went into building SCOAN and it cannot just waste away (sic)’
