President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Digital Communications, Bashir Ahmad, has announced his surprise at the performance of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.
Ahmad said this in reaction to the performance of the Labour Party in Saturday, February 25th presidential election across states.
The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was shown love in some Northern parts of the country as he won an unimaginable number of votes despite earlier claims that his party would not get up to hundred votes in many places.
Obi winning Lagos State ahead of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and amassing massive votes in places like Abuja, Kaduna, Gombe, Plateau, Adamawa, and others was a huge shocker to many who under-rated his reach.
Reacting to the development, a self-proclaimed activist – [Sarki. @Waspapping_], said the Labour Party presidential candidate took him by surprise.
Another observer also expressed surprise that Tinubu is the only candidate who couldn’t win his state:
However, according to Sarki. @Waspapping_, he never imagined the former Governor of Anambra State performing so well, especially in some parts of the north.
“Labour Party really took me by surprise. Not even in my wildest dream did I ever imagine Peter Obi’s Labour Party performing this well, especially in some parts of the north,” the activist wrote on Twitter.
Reacting to the tweet, Bashir Ahmad wrote: ‘Same”.
Bashir Ahmad is the presidential aide is also the Deputy Director, Special Media Projects/New Media for the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
