Some notable female Nigerian celebrities have fled their marriages as a result of domestic abuse meted out on them by their various husbands.
The incidences led to them abandoning the married woman status, their worldly possessions and fleeing to safety.
In the case of Osinachi, there are claims that she died after allegedly suffering domestic violence from her husband.
Her sister, Famous Made told Vanguard that Osinachi died as a result of a cluster of blood in the chest from the kicking she got from her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.
We highlight her, a few notable celebrities who fled abusive marriages.
1. Osinachi Nwachukwu
The gospel singer happens to be the recent case in the country and a trending issue that has seen the Federal Capital Territory command arrest the husband of the singer to investigate the allegations levelled against him.
There had been claims that her husband beats her and also collects her money, despite her being a gospel singer and a notable personality in society.
2. Monalisa Chinda
The Nollywood actress disclosed that she suffered domestic abuse in her former marriage which led to the end of her marriage.
3. Fathia Balogun
Fathia Balogun who was formerly married to her colleague, Saidi Balogun ended her marriage with the popular Nollywood actor, with reports of domestic violence in their marriage.
4. Tiwa Savage
Tiwa Savage two years after her marriage to Tee Billz revealed that her husband had been hitting her before and after her marriage.
5. Tonto Dikeh
Tonto Dikeh on her part accused her estranged husband, Oladunni Churchill of physically assaulting her on numerous occasions in their marriage.
Churchill, however, debunked the accusation levelled against him and clearly stated that marrying Tonto was a mistake in the first place.
6. Mercy Aigbe
The popular actress accused her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry of abusing her while she was married to him.
7. Precious Chikwendu
Chikwendu said she fled her abusive husband who beat her even when she was pregnant and sometimes got his domestic aides to humiliate her.
She added that he often abused her in public.
She ran to safety leaving her kids but has been denied access to them for nearly 2 years.
7. Onyeka Onwenu
Nigerian actress and veteran singer, Onyeka Onwenu told media personality, Chude Jideonwo in an interview that she fled her marriage as she could not longer endure the abuse she suffered in the hands of her husband.
She added that she has single-handedly trained each of her children up to the Masters level.
