The Executive Director of Nigerian Export-Import Bank, Stella Erhuvwu Okotete, a Tinubu-government ministerial nominee has finally broken her silence months after her failure to be confirmed by the Nigerian Senate.
In July 23 2023, the lawmakers headed by Senator Godswill Akpabio declined to confirm the nomination of the former Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, former deputy governor of Taraba state, Sani Abubakar Danladi and Stella Erhuvwu Okotete as members of the Federal Executive Council.
Speaking in public for the first time since the sad development, Stella Erhuvwu Okotete during an interview with TV host, Seun Okinbaloye which was uploaded today, February 10, stated that those set of persons that accused her of forging her certificates should come forward with their evidences, because she is ready to face the law.
Speaking further, Stella Erhuvwu Okotete stated that she might end up becoming the first female president of Nigeria, adding that she does not have any godfather in the political space but she knows the people that are against her and they know her too.
However, Stella Erhuvwu Okotete when asked what she could have done to avoid her ministerial rejection, stated that;
“Maybe what I would have done differently was actually to come out and call names.”
