An old student of popular Olashore International School has alleged bullying and sexual assault by 13 male classmates in her alma mater.
The ex-student identified as Obiamaka Chidinma Azubuike gave graphic details about how she was waylaid by the group of boys while walking a lonely path from the classroom at night.
The boys jeered at her as they sexually assaulted her. According to her, “I still painfully remember their hands gripping and thrusting into my body parts” until she was able to fight them off.
According to Chiamaka, the school principal made her write a statement with which she visited the sick bay.
She said she also visited the hospital and it was confirmed that her private part was traumatised.
Unfortunately, no contact was made with her family in spite of the physical and emotional trauma she suffered.
It took a parent visiting her child for her to borrow her phone to contact her parents.
She was also sadly punished for reporting the incident. Chiamaka said she was stripped of her position as a prefect, prevented from participating in the school prom or valedictory service when she was graduating.
She added that her parents their part were booed and intimidated for raising the topic at PTA meetings.
The letter was posted by her friend, temitayomab @mssugaryob who says “I’m moved to share your letter to Olashore International School in the belief that if more people hear your story, the likelihood of you getting the justice you deserve increases. I’m rooting for you and I stand with you“
