First Class monarch and the Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli is reported to have died yesterday, Monday at the age of 65.
He died of complications arising from #COVID19 complications barely 1 week after the grand finale of his 5th coronation anniversary.
As news of his death was received shops and offices in the Warri royal palace vicinity shut down with people huddled together discussion the shocking demise in hush tones.
No one is yet authorised to officially announce the passing as there are traditional protocols to make such an information public.
Reports also say that the Olu of Warri received in his palace, the former General Officer Commanding 6 Division Port Harcourt, Major-General Olu Irefin.

Gen Irefin died about 2 weeks ago after contracting the dreaded covid19.
The Olu of Warri was crowned 5 years ago on the 12th of December 2015.
During the anniversary of his coronation last week, he is said to have been very active and showed no signs of illness as he received well wishers from home and abroad who thronged the place to pay homage.
On receipt of the news of his death, local hot drink sellers made brisk business calling on buyers to buy and doing large quantities of the local liquor.
They say the hot drinks drive away the virus from the dreaded disease permanently.
