The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III has sacked the traditional Prime Minister of the kingdom, Chief Ayiri Emami.
Chief Emami was the Ologbostere of Warri Kingdom during the reign of the immediate past Olu, Ogiame Ikenwoli.

He was also not on good terms with the monarch’s father-in-law and oil baron Captain Wells Idahosa Okunbo.
The Ologbotsere was removed along with other members of council, committees and subcommittees of the kingdom.
The Olu has constituted a new Warri Council of Chiefs, with Chief Jonhson Amatserunleghe, Iyatsere of Warri Kingdom emerging as the highest ranking Itsekhiri Chief as well as traditional prime minister.
Other chiefs include:
- Chief Gabriel Awala
- Kofy Kartey

- Dr Roland Oritsejafor

- Edwin Olley
- Solomon Arenyeka
- Clement Maleghemi

A statement released by the palace indicates that the exercise will be carried out in batches.
