Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi has welcomed his new baby with his wife, Queen Firdaus.
The flamboyant Yoruba monarch who ended his marriage with a Jamaican, Chanel Chin, got married to the Kano-born princess, Firdaus, in March 2022.
Ever since her marriage to the Oluwo of Iwo, Firdaus has kept a low profile, as she was hardly seen in public except on a few occasions when she stepped out to receive guests in the palace with her husband.
The press secretary to the monarch, Alli Ibrahim while announcing the arrival of the new baby in a statement released on Wednesday said, “Oluwo expressed appreciation to Olodumare (God) for blessing my home with the handsome, promising child.
“Carrying a baby for months is tasking. I congratulate my queen on the arrival of a new child. She deserves accolades.
“I have strong trust in whatever comes out of her womb. The child shall be greater and be prosperous than me.
“Once again, congratulations to my beautiful, elegant, respectful and loving queen Firdaus.”
