One Million boys gang leader, Biola Ebila is reported to have been killed yesterday, Sunday, 12th July 2020 in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Another account says Ebila was caught in a cross fire during a gun battle between his gang and a rival gang at the Olomi area of the city.
The incident was confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria by the Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State, Superintendent of Police Olugbenga Fadeyi.
Fadeyi did not have the details about the manner the gang leader was killed as the time he spoke to news men.
According to him, “information reaching me from the Divisional Police Officer, Idi Arere revealed that his corpse and that of his colleagues who confronted the policemen strategically deployed to that axis were brought with a tricycle to Kudeti area.
At that instance, two of their members were also arrested, so they retrieved and brought the corpse to the station.
The police spokesman added that “our men had been dispatched to the area to investigate the incident. When properly briefed, we shall be able to give a detailed account of what actually happened. For now, I cannot tell you much.”
The one million boys gang leader has been in the Oyo State police list of the most wanted criminals. He was suspected to have also killed the leader of another notorious gang leader, Ekugbemi a couple of weeks ago.
Another gang reported to terrorise residents is the Idi Igi Boys suspected to have caused the death of some residents and destroyed properties.
