It is one year since Mrs Ibidunni Ighodalo, wife of the Senior Pastor of Trinity House Ituah Ighodalo was called home to her maker.
It seems just like yesterday !
No friend, acquaintance or passerby would fault the women that many perceived as surreal. She was humility, fabulosity, creativity, spirituality, beauty, entrepreneurship personified.
Her attributes could be likened to the Proverbs 31:10-31 woman through and through and she lived every verse with a footprint everywhere she went.
With her around, her husband’s smile and laughter were infectious. Seeing them together makes the loveless hunger for love.
You know what ? God called her home and no one can question him.
Her husband is everything she was times 10 over and has in his characteristic manner, taken the days in his stride.
Ituah ighodalo has been a source of strength to everyone grieving Ibudunni’s demise. He stands stoically consoled by the words of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 9 (NKJV)
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen [a]asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who [b]sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive andremain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are [c]asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Rest on Pastor Mrs. You made Lagos a tourist attraction at festive seasons. You put a smile on the faces of the barren. You gave hope to the orphaned. You lifted the indigent. You had a word and a smile for the mighty and the lowly. You left an indelible mark in many lives.
