A viral video has shown that the UK is badly hit by its ban of passengers from many countries as it recorded only 2 passengers in an entire economy class of a massive aircraft.
Following the outbreak of the Omicron variant of Covid-19, the European country placed at least 11 countries with heavy passenger traffic on its red list.
Passengers arriving from those counties are made to pay over £2,500 to self isolate and run covid teats for at least 10 days upon arrival.
The 2 female passengers who were the ones on board the economy class of a Lagos – London yet to be identified flight gave an entire video view of the aircraft.
Nigeria was included in the red list countries, a development that the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika vowed to retaliate.
Only British and Irish nationals or persons who have resident permits in the UK were allowed into the country after visiting countries on the red list.
However, UK Health Secretary, on Monday, rescinded the decision in a session with parliament.
He said that 11 countries including Nigeria have been removed from the red list.
