Ooni of Ife Blasts Ministry of Health as Madagascar’s Herbal Medicine Export Soars

The Ooni of Ife has blasted Nigeria’s Ministry of Health for down-playing Nigeria’s herbal remedies in the treatment of covid19.

He regretted that local herbal medicines were not even give the least chance. The revered monarch had in March, proposed a herbal mixture that he says was handed to him by his ancestors. He actually listed the names of the herbs and how they may be used to cure the killer respiratory disease.

His anger is more so when a country like Madagascar took the same mixture, improved on it and came up with a medication. The medication was successfully administered an initial 20 patients who recovered fully from the ailment.

In a post on his official Twitter handle this afternoon, @OoniAdimulaIfe regretted that:

“It’s a shame. The OONI prescribed Herbal Medicine for Nigerians, they didn’t believe him, told him he is not a doctor of what he inherited from his ancestors. Now another country took it up and also upgraded it – Madagascar.”
Ooni also said that indeed, China managed more than 70% of cases with herbal mixtures. According to him:

“China as a Nation used herbal means to cure for more than 70% of their covid-19 cases. It’s on record. _ Going forward in this country, let us use local means to proffer local solutions to all our problems. God bless Nigeria and our leaders.”

Indeed a Chinese national confirmed in a video that the country successfully treated many patients with herbal mixtures.
