The autopsy report on the late Gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu has been released, according to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja Police Command.

The Command stated that it will be transferring the case to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.

The singer died on the 8th of April while receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of an Abuja-based hospital.

After her death, allegations emerged from friends and family linking her husband, Peter Nwachukwu to her death, having subjected her continuous battery throughout their marriage.

On the 10th of April, Nwachukwu was arrested on grounds of suspected culpable homicide.

The case was later transferred from the Lugbe Police Division to the State Criminal Investigation.

According to Punch Metro, a source has come out to shed more light on recent development and has revealed that the autopsy report has been released and the police would seek legal advice on the matter.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, on Monday, said the case was no longer with the police.

According to her, “The case is no longer with us. It is now with the DPP in the office of the Attorney General.”
