While receiving the defectors, Governor Ortom expressed hope that the party would reclaim leadership of Nigerian at the 2023 elections.

He urged party members to unite and rebuild irrespective of their individual differences.

Governor Samuel Ortom expressed optimism that the PDP will not only retain Benue State in the general elections but win the 3 senatorial seats, the 11 House of Reps positions and all 32 seats of the House of Assembly.
