Pastor Adeboye Reveals ‘What God Told Me About Coronavirus’ Amid Omicron Fears

Coronavirus Pandemic

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor EA Adeboye has revealed what God told him about Coronavirus even as fears of the Omicron variant hits the world.

Speaking at the church’s annual Holy Ghost Congress, the clergyman said that God assured him that the virus would not kill Nigerians stating that only those who have been destined to die would indeed die.

The respected cleric fondly called Daddy G O added that those who predicted that Africans would be wiped off were disappointed by God.

In his words, “I said it in January 1 this year; I was telling them the government has done very well in fighting Coronavirus, an enemy we can’t see. I said don’t be careless but don’t be afraid because there is a God who can see the invisible.

“When this Coronavirus broke, I cried to God and Daddy answered me. God spoke to me specifically and said, “Son, I have heard your cry. Only those whose time has come will die.

“I heard the number of people who die by snake bite every year is about 2000. That means in two years, averagely 4000 people die by snake bites. Coronavirus has been around nearly 2 years now.

“By the grace of God, it hasn’t killed 4000 yet. Take my word for it, don’t be afraid. You won’t die until your time comes.

“But when pride comes and the moment you think you can do things on your own, God will leave everything to you. God resists the prod but gives grace to the humble. James 4:6; Jonhn 15:5; God made you for his pleasure so he doesn’t like the idea of you wanting to be independent of him.”

Pastor Adeboye’s assurance comes amid fears of the Omicron variant of the disease which is believed to be more dangerous as it possesses unusually Hugh number of mutations that have the potential to make the virus more transmissible and less susceptible to existing vaccines.

The World Health Organisation has called the Omicron a “variant of concern” and warned that the global risks posed by it were “very high,” despite what officials describe as a multitude of uncertainties.
