Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen has declared her ambition to run for senate in 2023 election.
Tallen intends to contest for the Plateau South Senatorial District.
The minister will contest against the incumbent Governor of Plateau State, who is believed to be also interested in the senatorial seat when his second term as Governor expires by election time.
The incumbent senator, Prof. Nora Dadu’ut, is said to have decided not to run for the position come 2023, paving the way for the minister to join the senatorial race.
Plateau South Senatorial District comprises six local government areas namely, Langtang North, Langtang South, Mikang, Qua’anpan, Shendam, and Wase.
