The National Advisory Committee set up by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to choose a running mate for the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has recommended Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State as the preferred candidate.
Dr Iyorcha Ayo, the National Chairman of the Party, earlier set up the committee after Atiku wrote the party to help choose his running mate.
Ayu urged the panel to come up with a candidate who will run on a joint ticket with Atiku in the 2023 Presidential election between Thursday and Friday.

- Former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido
- Former Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke
- Former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko
- Former Senate President, David Mark
- Minority leader of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu
