Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi on Wednesday morning, paid a visit to Baze University Hospital in Abuja owned by his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.
Obi was shown around by Baba-Ahmed. He also met some of the university staff.
The presidential candidate said that medical tourism would be a thing of the past if medical facilities in Nigeria have equipment such as those at Baze University Hospital.
Peter Obi said on his Twitter page that: “This morning, I had the privilege of visiting the Baze University Hospital in Abuja and inspecting the facilities. Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed was on hand to show me around. This institution is exemplary and reflective of a centre of excellence.
“This institution is exemplary and reflective of a centre of excellence, and what domestic entrepreneurs and investors can contribute to nation-building. With several more facilities like this, medical tourism for Nigerians will be a thing of the past. This is simply awesome.”
