There are plans to have the petrol pump price go below N100 per litre, according to the Federal Government

It says also it plans to hold a national conference on integrating artisanal/modular petroleum refinery operations has been finalised.

The action aims to improve capacity and lower the price of petroleum products.

Senior Special Assistant on Niger Delta Affairs to the President, Senator Ita Enang, announced this during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to him, “As the cost of crude goes higher, the price of refined petroleum products goes higher, but if refine these products in Nigeria, then the cost will be very low.

“The intendment of the conference is to mobilise these resources so that we can bring the prices of refined  petroleum products don to below N100 per litre.”
