The Police in Delta State led by CP Ari Mohammed Ali, on Wednesday, arraigned High Chief Emami Ayiri over an alleged invasion of the palace of the Olu of Warri.
Ayiri was arraigned before a magistrate court sitting in Warri in on a 3-count Charge no: MW/178C/2021
Part of the charges read: “That you Chief Ayirimi Emami “M” and others now at large on the 30th March 2021 at about 11:30pm (2330hrs) at Olu Palace, Warri Magistral District dd conspire among yourselves to commit felony such as burglary and stealing and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 516 of the Criminal Code Cap C21 Vol 1 laws of Delta 2006.
“That you Chief Chief Ayirimi Emami”m” and others now at large on the 30th March 2021 at about 11:30pm(2330hrs) at Olu Palace, Warri in the Warri Magisterial District with intent to commit a felony breaks into a dwelling house of the Olu of Warri and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Code Cap C21 Vol.1 Laws of Delta State 2006.
“That you Chief Ayirimi Emami”m”and others now at large on the 30th March at about 11:30pm(2330hrs) at Olu Palace Warri in the Warri Magisterial District did stole two crowns value two billion naira(N2,000,000,000.00) property of Itseliri Kingdom and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap C21 Vol.1 laws of Delta State 2006.”
The court, presided over by a Chief Magistrate, Mrs Diejomaoh however granted Chief Ayiri Emami bail with 2 sureties in addition with 2 million each.
The 2 sureties must be level 15 civil servants.
His first chieftain title was conferred on him by the late Olu of warri Ogiame Atuwatse II CON. When Ogiame Ikenwoli the former Olu (king) of Warriascended the throne, he conferred on Chief Ayiri the title Ologbotsere (prime minister) of Warri kingdom. Chief Ayiri Emami was suspended by the Ginuwa 1 Ruling House as the Ologbotsere (Prime Minister) of Warri kingdom on the 30th of March, 2021
