The Lagos State has arraigned 4 police officers linked to the death of an Ajah, Lekki resident, Gafaru Buraimoh
The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said they were arraigned in court on Friday, January 27 and have been remanded in prison custody.
Four police officers in connection with the k!lling of Garafu Buraimoh, in the Ajah area of Lagos state on December 6, have been arraigned in court.
Buraimoh was said to have been out buying fuel when he was hit by a bullet fired by an officer attached to Ajiwe police station in Ajah.
In an update given on Saturday morning, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the 4 officers were arraigned in court on Friday, January 27 and have been remanded in prison custody.
Benjamin Hundeyin said in a post that “Four police officers involved in this incident were arraigned yesterday. They have been remanded in prison pending DPP advice.”
This comes after the Lagos State Police Command posted a tweet saying: “POLICE ARREST, DETAIN OFFICER BEHIND SHOOTING INCIDENT At About 2330hrs of Tuesday, December 06 2022, a shooting incident involving men of Ajah Division, resulted in the unfortunate death of Gafaru Buraimoh of Happy Land Estate, Ajah.”
