The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the driver of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) which conveyed the murdered fashion designer, Oluwabamise Ayanwole.
The arrest was confirmed by the spokesperson for the command, Adekunle Ajisebutu on Monday.
Speaking with newsmen, the police boss said that 22-year-old Bamise who was declared missing on Friday has been found.
He added that her murderers will face the full wrath of the law.
Earlier on Sunday, BVN details and phots of the driver began circulating with an appeal to the public to help with information that would lead to his arrest.
Ajisebutu noted that the remains of the deceased were dumped on the Carter Bridge by Ogogoro Community by her abductors.
Late Bamise while returning to Ota from Ajah on the 26th of February, has boarded a BRT bus with number 240257 going to Oshodi at about 7:00 pm at Chevron Bus-Stop.
She was a lone passenger who got worried and started giving her itinerary to her friend. Soon after, 4 other people, including a woman joined her, the bus was very dark and eerie and she updated her friend.
Meanwhile, two other suspects have been arrested by the state police command in connection to the abduction of Ayanwole.
The command further stated that the suspects are providing useful information to detectives at the Panti branch of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
