Police Arrest Suspects Linked to Plateau K!llings

The Plateau State Police Command has announced the apprehension of eight individuals linked to the recent violent incidents in the villages of Bokkos and Barkin Ladi local government areas within the state.

More than 150 people were confirmed killed in the incidents while many house were raised.

No less than 23 villages of Bokkos were attacked on the Eve of Christmas and hundreds of houses raised down.

DSP Alfred Alabo, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, disclosed the arrests in Jos on Friday, stating that efforts were being made to apprehend more suspects.

Security agencies including, Army, Air Force, Navy and the police had after the killings vowed to bring an end to the attacks and counter attacks between farming communities and pastoralists.

However, despite the deployment of security agencies in the affected communities, more unreported killings are being recorded by the day.
