Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has confirmed the arrest of the officers who robbed a Nigerian lady of N320,000.
the lady identified as Ken in a social media post some couple of days ago lamented bitterly after some officers accosted her, extorting over three hundred thousand from her.
Ken narrated how the Policemen pulled over their car at a checkpoint in the Lekki Conservation Center and planted incriminating herb which led them to extort money from her.
She added that they threatened to hand her over to the NDLEA, if she did not give them the money they were requesting for.
Reacting to the post on Wednesday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest of the officers.
He added that all efforts to reach the complainant has proved abortive.
“The policemen involved in this case have all been identified and are currently at the State Headquarters. All attempts to reach the complaint have proven abortive. We would appreciate any information on how to reach her. DM is always open.” He tweeted.
However, later on Wednesday, Hundeyin confirmed that the lady had been located.
