Nigerian Police in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, this afternoon, raided a homosexual party.
Reports say that scores of homosexuals were arrested in the operation.
This followed a tip off leading to the police storming the hotel where the party held.
Reports quotes a police officer as saying that, “the officers arrested an undisclosed number of them, mostly men of different age brackets.”
An indigene of the community who confirmed the police source said that, “The homosexuals were holding a party at the facility when trouble ensued, leading to invitation of policemen from Ukpo Police Division.
“The suspects attempted fleeing from all directions in the hotel when policemen arrived, leading to destruction of ceilings and other items in he facility.
“The suspects were taken to the Police Anti-Cult Office in Ukpo for investigations.”
However, Haruna Muhammed, Police Public Relations Officer said the incident has not been formally brought to his attention,
