The Lagos State Police Command has revealed that it will investigate the viral video of a baby allegedly kidnapped by a dispatch rider.
The yet-to-be-identified dispatch rider is seen in the video with the baby that was retried from his courier box by members of the public.
Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Adekunle Ajisebutu, the spokesperson of the state police command said on Saturday morning that the incident is said to have occurred in the Sangotedo area of Lagos.
He added that it has however, not been reported at any police station to enable the law enforcement agency take appropriate actions.
Ajisebutu added that the Commissioner of police, Abiodun Alabi has, nonetheless, directed his men to intensify efforts to locate the dispatch rider who is alleged to have committed the crime.
He also ordered his men to locate the parents or guardians of the baby to enable them carry out appropriate investigations.
