The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PRO), Benjamin Hundeyin on Wednesday reacted to a viral video of a child alleged to be the late Ifeanyi Adeleke drowning in a swimming pool.

The video clip circulating the social media shows the moment a child alleged to be Ifeanyi died from drowning.

Reacting to the video in an interview with BBC Pidgin, Hundeyin described it as “fake”.

He added that “We haven’t started looking at the content of the CCTV we collected from Davido’s house.

Any video you see online isn’t the real thing. It’s fake,” Benjamin Hundeyin told BBC Pidgin.

There is indeed no resemblance to Ifeanyi as the swimming pool is one for little children and the child in the footage much younger.

There are reports that Davido only has an adult swimming pool in his home.

Ifeanyi has long hair but the baby in the trending video has very low cut.

An advisory was also posted on how a swimming pool in a house with kids should look like.
