The policemen deployed to ensure law and order in the ongoing Anambra governorship election have complained of hunger.
One of them specifically lamented that no provision was made for their feeding and they could leave there duty posts for security reasons.
Another policeman deployed to polling unit 8, Abagana ward 2, Njikoka Local Government Area (LGA) complained that he was hungry.
Daily Trust reports that the police officer (name withheld) had assisted electoral officers in carrying out accreditation for the voting process.
Over 30,000 policemen are taking part in the November 6 Anambra governorship election across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.
The were initial hitches at various polling units as voters reported that the biometric machines failed to function while some units had no original result sheets.
