Nigeria’s former Minister of Solid Minerals has condemned the county’s politicians’ style of leadership.
She accused the nation’s political elites of running the country aground, saying they are busy sharing public offices rather than governance.
Ezekwesili, in a post on her verified Twitter handle Friday, claimed the political elite see governance as “a series of transactions” and nothing more.
The former Minister of Education claimed that the only force against “wicked leadership” are unified citizens who act collectively.
She wrote in her tweet that, “Our decadent political class are busy sharing public offices in a country they have run aground; totally oblivious to the state of mind of the majority of their citizens.
These folks are much to be pitied for being those the Bible refers to in Ecclesiastics 10v16: Woe to you, O land whose king was a servant and whose princes feast in the morning.
“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure. Psalm 2:4-5.”
