Nigeria’s popular comedian, Bovi who was one of the co-anchors of the 14th Headies Awards last night was seen rocking the bloodied #EndSARS flag.
Bovi’s outfit left many attendees emotional.
This is in view of the fact that it was a sad but welcome reminder of the events that led to the massacre of #EndSARS protesters on the 20th of October 2020.
Many youths were reported killed while they staged a peaceful at the #Lekkitollgate in Victoria Island, Lagos.
They were shot at by armed security operatives while they held up the Nigerian flag. Many of the flags were sprinkled with blood from the bullet wounds.
The Headies Award is an event that aims to celebrate and reward talents and achievements in the entertainment industry.
Particular focus for the awards is the music genre. It is also an event for celebrities to show off their fashion sense.
Bovi’s fashion statement aimed to take a mostly youth gathering down memory lane on the events of October 20, 2020 where many of their contemporaries were either maimed or killed.
His outfit generated emotional reactions on social media as many people hailed it as the the attire best fit for the night.
