Controversial street singer, Habeeb Okikiola better known by his brand name as Portable has been released from Ilaro Prison after meeting his bail condition.
He was released from the Correctional Centre at about 6:00pm yesterday, Monday evening after his bail bond was presented at the Ilaro Correctional Centre where the judge asked he is kept until his bail conditions are fulfilled.
Earlier yesterday, the singer was arraigned before the Ijo Magistrate court on three counts bordering on assault and theft of musical instruments.
Delivering his ruling on the bail application made by his counsel, the presiding magistrate admitted the singer to bail on N300,000 with two sureties in like sum in the case which bothered on stealing.
In the other case, which bothered on assault, the court granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
The court also ordered that the singer be remanded in the Ilaro correctional center until he fulfills his bail condition.
The case was however adjourned till the 26th of April for the commencement of trial.
Day after after he regained freedom, Portable released a hit track directed at his detractors.
He said on his Instagram page: “God is my number 1 priority he didn’t say maybe… he said surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life ZAzuu every evil plan of your enemies against you shall work against them evil voice of those who trade words against your destiny shall be in silenced forever Amin. Dear God please help me release what’s stealing my peace . Pray For money and Grace ….
