A Ghanaian presenter has queried Nadia Buari’s paternity and caused her father’s outrage.
During an interview on Ghana’s Okay FM, the radio presenter repeatedly queried Sidiku Buari, father of the Nollywood actress about his relationship with her.
The presenter sought to know if Sidiku was indeed Nadia’s biological father. The manner of the queries enraged the Ghanaian athlete and former musician who initially remained calm. He accused the radio presenter of trying to cause confusion in his family.
According to Sidiku, “This is where you create confusion between father and son. To tell you the truth, whenever you’re asking a question, you must know the type you ask.
“But you call me here for one thing and you’re asking another. The media, that’s what they do sometimes. You don’t try to create confusion and problem in the family.”
Nevertheless, there have been speculations about Nadia Buari’s paternity. Some say she was abandoned by her biological father and adopted by Sidiku. The notion obviously informed the Okay FM Radio’s presenter querying Buari’s paternity and sparking his outrage.
Ghanaians believe that Nadia’s biological father is a Lebanese who dated her Ghanaian mother, Hajia Buari but never married her. Her mother later got married to Sidiku Buari who in turn, raised her as his own child.
Nadia studied Performing Arts at the University of Ghana and actively practiced acting in Ghana.
After struggling to get a breakthrough, she moved over to Nollywood in 2008 and got her breakthrough role in the film, ‘Beyonce and Rihanna’. The film also starred Omotola Jalade Ekeinde. She has subsequently continued to star in more block burster movies and came away with a number of awards.
Nadia Buari dated famous Nigerian Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke with whom she got engaged in 2014 in the course of a wild love affair. However, she has a set of twin girls for someone else.
