Aides to the former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu are reported to complain that the Presidency betrayed him by publishing pictures of him with a walking stick.

Sources say that ex-Governor Bola Tinubu has been undergoing a series of surgeries at the Johns Hopkins University Maryland, United States.

He is currently recuperating in the UK and has been visited by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Mr Sanwo-Olu did not betray any sign of a major illness with the National of APC.

In fact, he said that he was very “hale and and hearty and Nigerians have nothing to worry about.”

President Muhammadu Buhari also visited the Tinubu on Thursday, a development that prompted the presidency to publish his pictures showing him supporting himself with the walking stick.

According to the Personal aide to the President who published the first set of pictures, “President Muhammadu Buhari this evening in London, the United Kingdom, visited Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

A source told SaharaReporters on Friday that, “Tinubu and his people are not happy that President Buhari brought NTA (Nigerian Television Authority – government-owned station) and others to visit him.

When Lagos governor, (Babajide) Sanwo-Olu and (Abiodun) Faleke (federal lawmaker) visited him, nothing revealed he had a surgery or was sick. But the way Buhari had his photo ops handled by the Villa was not what he (Tinubu) bargained for.

“They felt betrayed that such pictures showing him with a walking stick would be released. Note that all the pictures were released by the Presidency.”
