The presidency has announced that President Bola Tinubu is set to bring back the national air carrier and is working to make the dream a reality.

This was disclosed on Tuesday by the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Abubakar Kana, during the handing-over ceremony organised by the ministry.

Kana stated that the revitalization of the national carrier is part of the objectives of President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda for the aviation sector and a new national carrier would be operational soon.

He added that the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, is also committed to the actualisation of Nigeria’s air carrier, as well as the upgrade of the airports across Nigeria to international standards.

He said a national air carrier will “soon be birthed”, and the airports across the country will be revamped.

“Resources are scarce, we need to embrace the private sector to support Nigeria’s Aviation industry,” he added.

Kana, in his speech, further appealed to all the agencies of the Ministry of Aviation to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
