It was nostalgia for many who remember President Muhammadu Buhari as an army General when he arrived the Nigerian Army trooping and presentation of colours parade in full military uniform.
The event is currently taking place at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
Buhari, who arrived the venue of the parade, at about 10:18am was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.
The retired army general is dressed in the ceremonial military regalia and is currently reviewing over 1,000 officers on the parade.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor; the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya, and the Inspector-General of Police Usman Baba are in attendance.
Also in attendance are the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao; Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
Buhari will unveil 28 out of the 81 national and regimental colours for the newly established and operationalised units and retired unit colours of the Nigerian Army.
