President Buhari Donates N67 Million Covid19 PPE To Sao Tome and Principe

President Muhammadu Buhari has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with N67 million to Sao Tome and Principe to enable them fight the covid19 pandemic.

Chairman, Presidential Task Force (PTF) on covid19, Boss Mustapha made this known yesterday, 3rd August during the PTF press briefing in Abuja.

Speaking to newsmen on the development, Mustapha said that, “I am happy to inform you that as the ECOWAS champion in the containment of #COVID19 in the West Africa Sub-Region, Mr President made a donation of N67 million worth of PPEs and medical supplies to the government and people of Sao Tome and Principe.”

The donation is in response to Sao Tome’s request for aid to fight the pandemic that is currently spreading wide in the small island.

In a similar development, goods that were procured by the West African Health Organisation (WAHO) have been deposited in Abuja for onward distribution in line with President Buhari’s directives.

According to the PTF Chairman, the Nigerian Air Free will play a vital role in the distribution of the items to the sub-regional countries.

The exercise will commence on the 4th of August, 2020.
