President Muhammadu Buhari was sighted today wearing a face mask for the first time since the outbreak of covid19
He had never for once been seen with a mask, a protective glass or plastic shield.
However, on arrival at the capital of Mali, Bamako with other West African leaders his nose and mouth were properly covered with a protective face mask.
President Buhari is in Mali on a piece keeping meeting to end the political crisis in the country. Other West African leaders sighted were President Alassane Ouattara of Ivory Coast, Macky Sall of Senegal, Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger and Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana.
They were received on arrival by President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita of Mali.
President Buhari’s arrival in Bamako was announced by his Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad.
The moment the announcement and pictures surfaced on Nigeria’s social, Nigerians went to work to express their opinions about their masked president.
