Reports from the British royal family say that the heir to the throne, Prince Charles has began moves to remove the title of Prince from Archie, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son.

The emerging information cites the huge cost of running the monarchy, a situation that has been protested by taxpayers who say they are fed up of footing the bill for fringe royal family members.

Crown Prince Charles is said to be preparing the legal documents to achieve the new move that ensures that fringe members of the royal family no longer have titles.

Sources familiar with the goings on in the family disclose that the shocking news came just before the explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The legal document when finally fine-tuned will ensure that Archie does not become a Prince, a title usually bestowed on grandchildren of the monarchy.

Reports also say that Prince Charles’s move to trim down the monarchy was kicked against by his younger brother, Andrew.

The British royal family received £69.4 million public-funded Sovereign Grant in 2020 excluding additional costs like security which is funded by the police.

The royal family is estimated to cost a whooping £345 million of taxpayers money annually.

The Mail is quoted as saying on Sunday that, “Harry and Meghan were told that Archie would never be a Prince, even when Charles became king.”

The newspaper reports that the moves have caused a deeper rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the royals to the extent of being described as a “dangerous new low.”

The Sussexes are said to be disappointed that Archie’s grandfather, Prince Charles could fathom changing the Letters Patent in order to deny Archie the title.

Young Archie could have adopted the title of Earl of Dumbarton at birth but Harry and Meghan shelved it believing that he would get a more prestigious title when Prince Charles becomes King.
