7 and 8-year old sisters have donated their life savings to fight the covid-19 disease.
The girls, Princess 7 and Vera 8 wrote letters through Vanguard to President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The 7 and 8-year old sisters had both saved up N1,850 and N2,350 respectively.
In her letter to the President, Vera said she had saved up the money to to give to an orphanage in Warri but changed her mind considering the horror coming out of covid-19.
Vanguard quotes her as saying that, “the need of the country is vital to me.” She then requested the newspaper to advise her how to get the money across to the President: “How do I send the money to the Federal Government ? Much love for my country and my President.”
The report added that little Princess likened her donation to the bible widow who donated her entire savings to the Temple. The widow’s donation was more appreciated than those who gave so much.
In her letter to the Governor of Lagos State, Princess wrote:
“My current saving is N1,850, which I intended to use for a big cup of vanilla ice cream, but saving lives is more important to me.
“Please accept this token from me from my heart as a donation to help the Lagos State government fight coronavirus.”
