Queen Salawa Abeni has shown that women can stand boldly and call the bluff of any blackmailer, bully, or stalker.
A stalker with phone number 08131802886 had assembled semi nude pictures of the music legend and sent them to her privately. He threatened to publish them if she did not buy his silence.The blackmailer who identified himself as Jason posted the pictures privately to Queen Salawa Abeni via WhatsApp.
His post:
“Hello Madam, below are your nude pictures I have with me. I still have more. It won’t be good if the popularly known Alhaja Salawa Abeni nude picture is trending on social media.
“Message me when you’re online so we can negotiate. Once you make the payment, I will make a video of me burning the picture and send them to you. Or do you want the pictures to go viral ?”
Salawa Abeni’s publication:
“Good morning my Family, friends and Fans.I have something very important to tell you and I will really appreciate your audience.
I am very disappointed that someone somewhere will try to tarnish my image and threaten to destroy my career of over 45 years.
This morning, I received messages from somebody threatening to expose very old pictures of me and in the process, blackmailing me for money. These could’ve been pictures of me in the hospital or even with my partner, but is this what has become of us??
I plead with everybody out there to be very careful as our current situation has made people very desperate. I am almost 60 years old, I have worked very hard and made a name for myself for somebody to believe that they can threaten and trample on my feelings, this is very sad.
So I have decided to share the messages and pictures sent by this person with everyone for you all to see!

The legendary queen Yoruba music called his bluff and went straight ahead to post the same pictures herself !
All the pictures were posted on her social media handles:In an interview with TVC this afternoon, she confirmed the exchanges and said she would not waste her energy on such a criminal especially considering her age as she turns 60 next year.
Speaking further, she said does not remember exactly when the pictures were taken. All she could recall is that they are very old ones that may have been taken in a hospital or in her private moment with her partner.
The singer also confirms that the stalker has been picked up by the police.Queen Salawa Abeni’s TV interview was also an occasion to pray and thank everyone who stood by her. She is overwhelmed and humbled by the solidarity of the general public both local and international.
