RCCG Cancels Crossover Service Nationwide

Coronavirus Pandemic News - Women's Perspective

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has cancelled the annual crossover service in all its churches nationwide for 2020.

The church directorate instructed members to connect to its virtual platform to participate in the service.

This latest instruction supersedes previous directives that members carry out crossover service in line with individual state guidelines on covid19.

Earlier in the day yesterday, the church only sent out a general flyer with no clear details about the format that services will take.

However, the new directive was posted by close of day.

The church also instructed that the 2021 January Holy Ghost Service billed for the 8th of January, be held virtually in all churches.

Members were advised to hook up to the Dove Television, the church’s TV station and other electronic media to listen to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer’s End of Year message and other aspects of the crossover program.

The church said the latest directives became necessary to ensure compliance with the federal and various states’ guidelines to stem the spiralling covid19 spread in the country.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State Chapter, had over the weekend, advised churches in Lagos to ensure that the crossover services end by 11:00pm to beat the 12 midnight curfew imposed on the state by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
