Reactions have continued to trail the videos and pictures shared by actress Regina Daniels as she celebrated her stepson, Amir Chimka Nwoko who turned 18 today.
Amir, the son of her husband and his fourth wife, Laila Charani, received an emotional post from Regina, who shared adorable photos of the young man and praised his growth over the years.
In her Instagram post, Regina expressed her pride in watching Amir grow into “a handsome, intelligent, compassionate, and humble young man.
The actress, who is a mother of two, also assured Amir that she had a special gift for him that would bring a smile to his face.
“Happy 18th birthday to my adorable big boy,” Regina wrote.
“Watching you grow into a handsome, intelligent, compassionate, and humble young man gladdens my heart. I pray that God continues to protect and watch over you in Jesus’ name. Like I always say, all you have to do is make the family proud. Love you son @amir.2viral. Trust your aunty to have a gift that will make you smile.”
Amir responded with appreciation, saying, “Thank you mummy Regina, I appreciate everything that you have done for me in my life up until today.
Irrespective of the loving exchange, the post didn’t sit well with some of Regina’s followers.
Fans criticized her claims to have “watched” Amir grow, given that she is only 24 years old.
Some suggested that their age gap is too small for her to make such a statement, while others defended her right to express herself as a mother figure.
