Reactions have begun to trail the donation of N75 million by one of the APC Presidential Aspirants, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to victims of terrorists attack on a Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State,
During his condolence visit to Ondo state over the killing of the Christian worshippers, Tinubu pledged N75million to the victims.
The APC chieftain is said to have left the venue of the APC primary election to pay a visit to the scene of the gruesome invasion.
While at the hospital, Tinubu in the company of the state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, donated N50 million to aid the treatment of the victims.
He gave another N25m to the Catholic Church, promising to tackle the security challenges in the country if elected as the next President.
Announcing the donation, Akeredolu said, “Our leader is donating N50 million to take care of the victims, and an additional donation of 25 million will go to the Catholic Church for the victims and every other thing.”
The gesture has sparked mixed reactions across the country with many viewing is as a campaign strategy to endear him to the masses.
