Seyi Tinubu, son of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has stirred reaction online after he was spotted with a Richard Mille wristwatch worth $550,000 (N340 million).
The 36-year-old entrepreneur was seen with the priceless Richard Mille RM 055 in a post on his Instagram account on March 24.
The Gazette reports that the watch worn by the son of the former governor of Lagos State was part of the custom series on sale in the name of professional golfer and Masters giant, Bubba Watson.
Seyi in his post wrote at that time, “Be patient with yourself. Self-growth is tender; it’s holy ground. There’s no greater investment.”
Jewellery expert, Edward Garvey who spoke with Peoples Gazette disclosed that the watch was sold for more than $680,000 at a point since it was introduced by the top Swiss brand in 2011.
Some Nigerians in their reaction believe the APC presidential candidate has money, so his son can easily acquire such wristwatch.
Others believe that Lagos commuters contributed to the acquisition since it was bought from tolls collected at the Lekki toll plaza and other taxes.
